erin hauber is creative director and principal designer at cottage industries. She earned a BA in English and Art History from the University of Wisconsin and studied graphic design at Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). Following MCAD she became the lead designer for art and performance spaces in Minneapolis, MN and Westport, CT. In 2006 Erin joined the faculty at Otis College of Art and Design where, as a member of a select team led by department chair Kali Nikitas, she helped shape a new graphic design curriculum. Erin left Otis with the rank of Assistant Professor in 2011.

Today, Erin's practice extends beyond the studio to include cross-disciplinary collaborations, teaching and mentoring emerging designers, and curating design-related events. She is visiting faculty and Master of Graphic Design degree candidate at North Carolina State University.

When not working, the upper-midwestern transplant likes visiting sites of early modern and mid-century architecture, knitting, riding her bike, shopping farmers' markets and watching for rainbows.
